ABOUT
Kim Frank edited the award-winning documentaries "In Love With a Problem" by Julie Kim and Emmy award-winning “Ghana: Digital Dumping Ground” for PBS Frontline/World. Other credits include: Emmy-nominated “In a Small Town” for PBS Exposé, documentaries for Al Jazeera, The New York Times and Dan Rather Reports, as well as dozens of corporate and promotional videos for TELUS, Google and WestJet.
Kim began working as a video editor in 2004, after a long career as a contemporary dancer and choreographer. Her specialty is working as both story and video editor, often collaborating with busy producer/directors who trust her to craft a compelling story.
Recently, she also began working as a video producer, producing videos for the award winning British Columbia Girls Choir and others.
Kim is passionate about collaboration, the creative process and telling great stories. Please get in touch to talk about your video project!
Kim brings so much to a project beyond her technical abilities — a keen sense of narrative and character, composition, story arc, dynamics. She has an uncanny instinct for flow that elevates everything she touches. The Balanchine of the edit room!

Kim is a class-act to work with. She works independently, but also very collaboratively. One of my favourite people in — and out of — an edit suite!

Kim is a gifted storyteller and a talented collaborator. She has improved every project we have worked on together and always has great ideas about how to make a strong story even stronger.
